Assistant Account Manager

Role

As an Assistant Account Manager, you already have a bit of a commercial mindset and are keen to learn the retail trade. You’re curious and have a bit of guts. You’re ready for a great start – or the next step – in your career in commerce.

On the role

As an Assistant Account Manager, you are responsible for supporting the commercial team in the broadest sense of the term. You provide support to the commercial team, act as a watchdog, gather information and analyse market data. But of course, you are welcome to do much more than that.

Duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Account Manager

  • Preparing presentations in advance of meetings with clients and suppliers.
  • The collection of data for the purposes of these presentations.
  • Drawing up quotations and carrying out cost calculations.
  • Requesting and managing samples.
  • Managing the current product range.
  • Working alongside the account manager on commercial decisions.
  • Following up on deals concluded by the account manager.
  • You maintain contact with customers and suppliers.
  • Visiting various shops to keep in touch with the market and market prices.

About you

  • As an Assistant Account Manager, you’ll have plenty of energy;
  • You’re young, you’ve already got some work experience and you’re keen to learn more;
  • You are commercially minded but would like to improve even further;
  • You’ll enjoy a role in which you can carry out tasks but also contribute ideas;
  • You hold an MBO+ or HBO qualification;
  • You are proficient in MS Office (particularly Excel);
  • You have an excellent command of the Dutch language;
  • You have well-developed analytical skills and an affinity for figures;
  • You have a problem-solving and customer-focused attitude;
  • You are a team player with strong communication and organisational skills;
  • You are accurate, able to maintain a good overview and set priorities;
  • You are proactive.
